It is challenging enough for project managers and their teams to apply knowledge, skills and techniques to produce project deliverables. But it is heartbreaking to come to close-out and be confronted with the reality of not achieving the intended benefits that justified the project sanction. This is the case with numerous projects.

There is wisdom in ensuring and maintaining the vital connection between benefits identification, project execution and benefits realization. This tripod delivery model has been shown to improve project outcomes and stakeholders satisfaction.

Ephraim presents a project case study where a disconnect caused a lot of pains for stakeholders at all levels - project, business, executive and partnership. The lessons and recommendations will enhance wisdom of project management teams in ensuring benefits delivery.

Ephraim is PMI-certified business analysis and project management professional with over 27 years working experience in projects in Australia, USA, UK, Middle-East and Africa. Ephraim is also a certified trainer and has provided services to universities, industries and community groups. He is a principal consultant at Tri-W Pty Ltd and Founder / COO of Aus-Professional-Bridge (APB).
